The Four Lovers started out in the early '50s, but the individual members' musical backgrounds went back to the 1930s. Their whole story started with the DeVito family of Belleville, a working-class town in northern New Jersey ... Tommy DeVito was born in Belleville, NJ on June 19, 1936. He played guitar and was one of the back up/harmony singers also. He left the FOUR SEASONS in 1970. Denise Ferri, Peggy Santiglia and Arleen Lanzotti Peggy Santiglia her singing career with "The Delicates" while still attending School Eight. Just as she was graduating from Belleville High School, she had a hit record called "My Boyfriend's Back" singing lead with "The Angels." Her group is currently featured in the Broadway hit "Jersey Boys." Recalls Peggy, "I was born and grew up in Belleville and had lots of wonderful memories from Branch Brook Park to the roller skating rink on Washington Ave, The Capitol Theater and so much more."
